Casino Affiliate Program Terminology: A Complete Reference for 2026.

Affiliate marketing in iGaming has its own specialized terminology. Without understanding this language, it is difficult to drive traffic to offers or interpret statistics in an affiliate dashboard. Drawing on eight years of experience working with thousands of affiliates, the experts at N1 Partners have prepared this reference guide to the key terms.
Payment Models
CPA (Cost Per Action) is a model in which an affiliate receives a fixed payment for a player action, most commonly a first deposit. At N1 Partners, top affiliates can access CPA payouts of up to €700.
RevShare (Revenue Share) is a model in which an affiliate receives a percentage of the casino’s net gaming revenue (NGR) generated by referred players throughout their active lifetime. At N1 Partners, RevShare rates reach up to 55%.
Hybrid combines CPA and RevShare. The affiliate receives a fixed payment for an FTD as well as a percentage of gaming revenue.
Spend Model is a model in which commission is calculated from the betting turnover of referred players. This model benefits affiliates with highly active audiences, such as sports betting traffic, because earnings become predictable and are not affected by the volatility of player wins and losses. N1 Partners also works with the Spend Model.
Performance Metrics (KPIs)
FTD (First Time Deposit) is a player’s first deposit. It is the main conversion event in most CPA and Hybrid deals. An FTD indicates a real player who is willing and able to pay.
CR (Conversion Rate) is the percentage of users who complete the target action out of the total number of users who clicked.
EPC (Earnings Per Click) is the revenue earned per click. It is calculated by dividing total earnings by the number of clicks.
LTV (Lifetime Value) is the total revenue a player generates throughout their entire period of activity.
NGR (Net Gaming Revenue) is net revenue from gambling activity. It is GGR (gross gaming revenue) minus player winnings, bonuses, chargebacks, and other deductions.
Retention measures how long players remain active after making their first deposit.
N1 Partners managers provide affiliates with complete information about products across a portfolio of more than 14 brands, including casinos with high LTV, strong conversion rates, and high Reg2Dep.
Tracking and Attribution
A Tracking Link is a unique URL that identifies the affiliate and makes it possible to track the activity of referred players.
SubID is a parameter in a tracking link used to monitor individual campaigns, traffic sources, or creatives.
A Postback is a conversion notification sent from the casino server to the affiliate platform server through an S2S, or server-to-server, connection.
A Pixel is a piece of code embedded on a page to track user actions.
A Click ID is a unique click identifier passed through the entire redirect chain, allowing a conversion to be linked to a specific source.
N1 Partners is a trusted online casino affiliate program and direct advertiser that has offered leading brands and high commissions for more than eight years.
Terms and Payouts
Negative Carryover is a condition under which a negative commission balance from one month is carried over to the next. If a player wins a large amount, the affiliate’s balance becomes negative, and the affiliate must offset that deficit before receiving new payouts. N1 Partners has no negative carryover.
CAP is the maximum number of conversions, or the maximum payout amount, allowed for an offer within a specific period.
A Hold Period is the period during which commission is withheld pending confirmation to prevent chargebacks and fraud.
N1 Partners managers provide affiliates with comprehensive information and recommendations to maximize the performance of their campaigns.
