Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the full project lifecycle (initiation through closure) for up to 5 concurrent projects, following PMI standards and internal methodologies.
  • Build and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for all active projects; manage scope, timelines, and deliverables at the work-package level.
  • Prioritize project backlogs and portfolios in alignment with business objectives; facilitate trade-off decisions with stakeholders.
  • Plan and manage resource allocation across projects; coordinate with team leads to balance capacity and workload.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; maintain risk registers and escalation paths.
  • Track and manage cross-project dependencies; ensure alignment across the project portfolio.
  • Control project scope through formal change management processes.
  • Monitor project budgets at the project level; track burn rates and flag deviations early.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, demos, and portfolio health dashboards to the Cluster Lead and Head of Engineering on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholders-to-you relationships through regular communication and structured updates.
  • Analyze, optimize, and maintain project workflows and SDLC processes within existing tooling — including ticket lifecycle management, Definition of Ready / Definition of Done standards, automation rules, and SLA compliance.
  • Map and manage stakeholders across projects; ensure appropriate engagement and communication cadence.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and development discussions (PDDs), as well as monthly performance reporting for team members.

     

    Experience & Background:
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on project management experience in software development environments.
  • Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously (portfolio-level responsibility).
  • Technical background is an advantage (prior experience as a Team Lead or in a technical role is a significant advantage).

 

Education & Certification (at least one required):

  • Higher education in Management, Business Operations, or a related field; OR
  • Professional certification from the Project Management Institute (PMP, PMI-ACP, CAPM, or equivalent PMI credential).

 

Core Competencies (mandatory):

  • WBS — Ability to decompose projects into manageable deliverables and work packages.
  • Prioritization — Backlog and portfolio prioritization aligned with strategic business goals.
  • Resource Management — Planning, allocating, and balancing people and capacity across a multi-project portfolio.
  • Risk Management — Proactive risk identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and escalation.
  • Dependency Management — Tracking and resolving inter-project dependencies.
  • Scope & Change Control — Formal change control processes to protect project scope and timelines.
  • Budget Awareness — Project-level cost and burn-rate tracking.
  • Stakeholder Management — Mapping, engaging, and managing expectations across diverse stakeholder groups.

 

Methodologies:

  • Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid approaches).
  • Experience directing project lifecycles from initiation to closure following PMI standards (PMBOK).

 

Languages:

  • Russian — B2 or Native proficiency (written and verbal).
  • English — B1 or higher (language certificates are an advantage).
